If you like my recent products with my Pen & Ink River Otter Head Design, you will like this next addition at Otter Things. I created the Pen & Ink Sea Otter Head Design in the same style as my previous design but with a different species. Although sea otters are larger than river otters, they are the smallest marine mammal.
I was recently asked by the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation to create an illustration for their annual Habitat Stamp. This year’s drawing was a Barred Owl in pen and ink style. You can learn more about the project on my illustration site. Continue reading New Pen & Ink River Otter Design
Currently, there are thirteen species of otters worldwide. All of them are monitored and five of the thirteen are endangered. World Otter Day (International Otter Awareness Day) is a day to celebrate otters around the world. Held on the last Wednesday of May, you can spend the day visiting otters in the zoo, reading about otters, or donating to the International Otter Survival Fund. Here at Otter Things™, I decided to release a new design for the otter fan.
I’ve added a new design for my shop and I just wanted to share it with you. I create more than just my I Otter Be® line of clothing and wares. Yeah, I like to mix it up a bit and sometimes it takes me to a fun, creative place. That is exactly where this design is from.[if_slider id=”3048″]
This simple stylized line drawing shows the fluidity of otters swimming among some aquatic plants. I have been working on this design for a while. I wanted it to be simple and fun. It is currently available in T-shirts for men and women, and also mugs.
With sizes to fit almost every figure, and a variety of colors, you can show off how much you love otters, and they are all made in the USA. Check them out and let me know what you thing.
Although you may be shoveling snow, baseball is in full swing. So to honor this beloved sport, I created an I Otter Be® design suggested by one of my customers, I Otter Be Playing Baseball.
You can knock it out of the park with this little otter on a mug or t-shirt. He strikes a pose in his jersey and cap, and can’t wait to get up to bat. For those who keep stats on my illustrations, the number 10 is the same year I created this otter and now he is in the big league. Bill Veeck said it best with “There are only two seasons – winter and Baseball.” So, once you have dug out from the snow, put away that coat and shovel, grab that ball and bat, head out to the park and – Play Ball!
You never need a special occasion to give to the ones you love. Check it out at my Zazzle store.
